Our Click Doctor Travellers’ Diarrhoea Rescue Pack for travellers’ diarrhoea contains a cocktail of medicines to help treat and combat all your symptoms in those who develop diarrhoea when abroad.
(1) Azithromycin 500mg tabs (3 tabs)- an antibiotic used to treat bacterial causes of travellers’ diarrhoea
(2) Imodium Classic Capsules (Loperamide 2mg) (12 caps)- used to help control loose bowels
(3) ORS rehydration tabs (24 tabs)- to help prevent dehydration
(4) Paracetamol 500mg tabs (32 tabs)- to help with stomach pains and fever
Azithromycin 500mg tablets- Take one tablet a day for 3 days. Continue the course until it is complete unless advised otherwise by a doctor. Start taking immediately once symptoms of travellers’ diarrhoea occur. These include diarrhoea, sickness, nausea and stomach cramps.

Imodium Original Capsules- Take two capsules initially and one capsule thereafter after each loose bowel movement. Do not take more than six capsules in a 24 hour period.

Paracetamol 500mg tablets- Take one or two tablets upto four times a day. Do not take more than 8 tablets in a 24 hour period.

ORS rehydration tablets- Dissolve one or two ORS in 200ml (approx. 7fl oz) of drinking water after every loose motion. Use fresh drinking water at all times.

Do not use the Rescue Pack:
  • If you are allergic to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • If you have hypersensitivity to erythromycin, any macrolide or ketolide antibiotic, or soya lecithin.
  • If you have severe diarrhoea after taking antibiotics.
  • If you are having a flare-up of an inflammatory bowel condition like ulcerative colitis.
  • If you are constipated, or your stomach appears swollen (especially in children with severe dehydration).
  • If you have acute dysentery, the symptoms of which may include blood in stools and a fever
